From July 24 to 25, 2024, the 7th China-Africa Civil Forum and the 7th China-Africa Youth Leaders Forum were successfully held in Changsha, Hunan Province. This grand event was jointly guided by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee, and the Hunan Provincial Committee, and organized by the China Volunteer Service Federation. It brought together over 200 guests, including political figures, party leaders, youth representatives, non-governmental organizations, and think tank elites from more than 50 African countries. During the forum, foreign participants praised the achievements of the 20th Central Committee's Third Plenary Session of the Communist Party of China and celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of China's development in the new era, expressing a strong desire to deepen China-Africa cooperation and build a shared future.

At the forum, Ms. Fu Jie, Chairwoman of JASUNG, emphatically expressed the company's unwavering commitment to supporting China-Africa cooperation. She delved into how to integrate China's advanced permanent magnet direct-drive technology with Africa's practical needs, aiming to jointly promote the transformation and upgrading of green economies in both regions. During the event, Ms. Fu engaged in extensive and in-depth discussions with political leaders from several African countries, further solidifying the cooperative relationship between the parties.

In recent years, JASUNG has focused on the vertical application of permanent magnet direct-drive technology, continually expanding its advantages in niche market applications and promoting the deep integration of artificial intelligence with the economy and society. — What Have We Done?

From the outset, JASUNG has taken the lead in promoting “green drives” as part of the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to implement lower-carbon permanent magnet drives in every new industrial project in Africa.

From the beginning, JASUNG has utilized various financial methods in conjunction with project initiatives to enhance quality and upgrade systems. We leverage China’s comparative advantages to actively seek deeper cooperation, helping African enterprises adopt low-carbon and energy-efficient products.

From the start, JASUNG has aimed to establish service centers locally in Africa, training and developing more local technicians to become experts in permanent magnet technology. This initiative not only localizes service but also addresses some employment needs.

Currently, JASUNG is implementing seven projects in five African countries. Among them, the Liberia iron ore project utilizes JASUNG's permanent magnet drive systems for nearly all its drive systems. The project comprises three phases, with the first phase currently underway. Once operational, the project is expected to dramatically increase iron ore output and energy efficiency, creating approximately 5,000 local jobs. Moreover, the exclusive use of permanent magnet systems will significantly reduce electricity consumption, laying a solid foundation for local green development and smart construction.

In addition to these projects, JASUNG is also collaborating with local enterprises and Chinese companies in Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and other countries to advance intelligent development in fields such as construction materials, ports, and mining. We are eager to see African youth join the efforts of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation to help create a brighter future for the continent.

Looking Ahead — What More Can We Do?

1. Leveraging this forum as an opportunity, JASUNG will collaborate with other Chinese enterprises to promote Africa’s infrastructure development plans, driving the foundational industrial construction of the African Union from a low-carbon high starting point.

2. Utilizing this forum as a platform, JASUNG aims to work with local African companies to establish factories, allowing the permanent magnet direct-drive industry to generate employment and benefit local communities.

3. In the future, JASUNG will maintain close communication with political leaders in various countries, striving to make "green drives" a common understanding in foundational infrastructure development across nations.
