JASUNG Showcases Permanent Magnet Direct Drive Technology at Mining Week Kazakhstan 2025, Advancing Green Mining in Central Asia
Amid the roaring machinery of Karaganda, a quiet green revolution is taking shape.
From June 24 to 26, Mining Week Kazakhstan 2025—one of Central Asia’s most influential mining events—was held under the theme "Exploring New Opportunities and Trends in Mining." The exhibition attracted industry leaders, equipment manufacturers, and engineering service providers from over 20 countries to discuss the future of smart, green, and low-carbon mining.
At this annual gathering of Central Asia’s mining sector, JASUNG made a striking appearance with its core permanent magnet direct drive (PMDD) technology solutions. Through live demonstrations and technical exchanges, JASUNG showcased its latest achievements in energy-efficient upgrades and intelligent transformation for mining and non-ferrous metal equipment. The JASUNG booth drew continuous crowds, becoming one of the exhibition’s key highlights.

The star products on display—permanent magnet motorized pulleys and PMDD motors—demonstrated JASUNG’s leading expertise in smart drive systems for mining conveyors. The motorized pulleys, in particular, garnered significant attention for their high efficiency, maintenance-free operation, long lifespan, and compact design. Ideal for long-distance, steep-slope, and heavy-load material handling, these solutions offer stable performance in mining, non-ferrous metals, and metallurgy, presenting a practical upgrade path for Kazakhstan’s aging infrastructure.

As a resource-rich nation, Kazakhstan’s mining sector plays a pivotal role in its economy. Yet, over 50% of its equipment remains outdated and energy-intensive, relying heavily on imported machinery. At the exhibition, the JASUNG team held in-depth discussions with multiple mining companies from Kazakhstan and neighboring regions, securing several preliminary cooperation agreements amid strong local interest.
To date, JASUNG’s solutions have served clients across five continents, including key Belt and Road initiatives such as the Liberia Iron Ore Project and Guinea’s Simandou Mine, spanning cement, power, ports, and mining—all energy-intensive industries benefiting from JASUNG’s efficient and reliable drive technologies.

This debut in Kazakhstan marks a strategic step in JASUNG’s Central Asia expansion and another milestone in its commitment to the Belt and Road Initiative and global sustainable mining. From Africa to Central Asia, the Middle East to Southeast Asia, JASUNG is bridging industries with innovation, partnering worldwide to build an efficient and sustainable industrial future.
